Help Identifing Plenum

In my '99 in the bay with the right side basement A/C is a plunum with four uninsulated flexible vent hoses. They look about the size of air distribution hoses found for the dash air distribution. Maybe this is where the heater core is, or maybe somehow fresh air enters in this area. Would someone please explain what is going on there for me?

i am not sure mine will be the same, but i know they are up to at least mid 90's.

in my bay directly in front of the passenger side front wheel is where my blower for the genny is. as you face the bay, the right hand side has a removeable panel that slides out after taking a few screws and a piece of aluminum out. behind that panel is the plenum where the air for the dash comes from. the heater core is in that area as well as the blower motors.

there are probably 8 hoses or so coming off mine.
