I am so jealous! We'll be on Whidbey Island (Coupeville) from the 15th to the 22nd.....I guess we could run down on the 16th (we get in late afternoon on the 15th), but you'll probably be heading home? Let me know....we'd love to see you. It's not that far from Coupeville! Looks like less than 10 miles (a ferry ride, of course). We could probably ride our bikes!!

Rhonda and I are taking our first West Virginia trip. We are headed up to Mountwood park in Parkersburg.

We are meeting a guy who is going to let us ride his mountain tandem. I am so jonesin for a little road trip. I hope we like the bike and the concept. There are many more mountain biking opportunities here than road biking.

Like you guys, we eat well and play hard while in the Newell.

Have a safe Labor Day trip to all.

I want to go!
That is a great festival. Trisha and I were there in the early 90's. We know allot of the boats and some of the owners.
Now I wish that I was retired but alas I still have to get paid to go for "boat rides" here in Southern California, darn.

Hey Richard, watch out for Earl!
Are you near the coast?

Headed up to Ventura, CA for the Labor Day weekend....will be nice to enjoy ocean breezes for 4 days. The "boys" just came by and washed/detailed the Newell. Before they came I pulled out the two house 8d batteries, checked water level (fine) cleaned them off, lubed the sliding trays. Haven't had to add water to either of the house batteries for over a year.

I love going to storage after 2 months and turning the key and hear the DD roar to life without hesitation.

Forrest, I am hard by the Ohio River. I don't think Earl will have any impact.

Hey Forest...great quote!

"You don't have a soul. You are a soul, you have a body." C.S.Lewis.....great quote, and so C.S. Lewis.....he is one of my favorite Christian authors. Have you ever read "The Great Divorce" by C.S. Lewis?

Hey guys I'm currently on alert to go to work on Earl. I do catostrophic insurance adjusting and if it hits will be involved for some of the fall to winter with Earl and others that are expected to hit somewhere in the states.
Somebody has to help get them rebuilt after mother nature tears them apart so my Newell and I will be on the road soon.
