The front window electric roller blind on the copilot side fell off the mounting bracket and broke the power wire deep inside the motor. The motor on my rig (year 2000) in a Somfy LT28. It is tubular in shape and slips out of the end of the aluminum tube that the blind rolls up on. I attempted to open the motor (needed to bend back metal tabs so I don't think it was supposed to be serviceable) and did ultimately find the broken wire, but just like a kid that opens up a wrist watch, the chances of reassembly were essentially zero.

I called Newell and they did not have a new part, but were willing to sell me a used one for $350. After some searching on the Internet, I did find a new motor for $123 at:

Reinstalling the motor was simple, just slide it back in the blind tube and remount the blind. Rehooking the tiny wires to the power source was a pain, especially for a middle age guy with bifocals working in a tight, overhead space. I think I need to get quadfocals.

Once the motor is installed you need to set the upper and lower limits which is easy to do by pressing a pair of little buttons (everything on this motor is little). I found great instructions on the Internet at this URL:
