We have a ConMet separator CMI-650. This has a plastic sediment bowl to drain out any water or other good stuff.

Problem is the sediment bowl is cracked and not sure if they are still available. Have a call in to Newell so will get that word. If I can not get a new bowl I will need to get a new separator which I chose not to do.

If anyone has had this problem I welcome input. Right now my first plan is to plastic weld the one I have.

RACOR makes a very good Fuel Filter/Separator (sorry about the links to a marine store but that is what I am familiar with);
http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=12218&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&storeId=11151&storeNum=10106&subdeptNum=10407&classNum=10410

PS We will be in Yuma for a few days at the end of the month. Not sure about our schedule since I am going there to do my "sonny do's"

i researched them a couple of years ago. newell doesnt have them and the company doesnt make them at all and has not for many years. i looked for parts but was unsuccessful.

i had problem with them leaking at the pitcock so i finally had super plug them so i cant even use them anymore.

i would like to change over to the fuel filter/water separator like wally has on his.

Sometime you just live right or just get lucky. After searching the world over for a replacement sediment bowl, I finally called Chuck at Newell. He had found ONE recently in some forgotten inventory. He didn't know if it was the right one, but I bought it anyway. IT WAS THE RIGHT ONE!!

Turns out all ConMet units use the same sediment bowl.
