hi all,

my new 2002 has a rear lounge rather than a bedroom. the only thing i need to do is remove the leather sectional (it is awesome btw) and build a bed frame and headboard.

we will put in a queen bed. i will make it look like newell did it in the first place. i am assuming it is an aluminum frame with the laminate over the top with a storage compartment inside raised off the floor. i will also build in an actuator to raise the bed platform and mattress. and then build nightstands on each side with matching laminate and shapes.

what i would like is pictures and drawings and dimensions of how someones bed is built by newell so i can copy with pride.

btw, my bedroom slide is a flat floor slide and not raised. like the living room area slide. that shouldnt make any difference on the frame iwould think.

can anyone help me out?

thanks

tom

Tom, I'll be in my coach tomorrow going to Newell so I'll snap a few pics. My coach had the queen bed taken out and a king installed.
I believe my bed though is on a raised slide, because there is no flooring that moves with that slide? Are you going to do a rounded bed or a traditional square?

Look forward to watching the project

Tom,

Here are some pictures of my bed-slide frame. Hope they help you; sorry I don't have any measurements.

I will be glad to take some measurements of the nightstands etc. Give me a call when you are ready for them. 985 381 6613

Tom, any reason why you couldn't put the bed on the opposite side rather than the side with the slide?

Of course sometimes I just get in trouble when I start thinking.

Tom, you probably already know about this place since it's in your backyard. But might give you some ideas.
