ok, i know i am a fanatic.

i got new interstate workhorse 8d batteries for the engine today. i cleaned out the battery compartment in the engine compartment and polished it...i will spare you the pictures.

the 8d batteries move around some in the compartment. any good tips or suggestions on what to put around the batteries to kinda hold them in place?

btw, the positive battery cable from the starter had quite a bit of corrosion. i was going to cut the end off and put a new connector. but it was corroded back probably 4 inches. so i just went and had a new cable made along with the interconnecting cables. i want good connections.

the interstate battery shop in mesa, az treated me real good. the owner has a nascar nationwide car and has had a prevost. he just recently looked at a newell. great guy.

Tom,
If you feel you need to fill a space around the batteries I have always used wood cut to fit as it is light weight & non corrosive. My engine batteries have a little space around them, but they have never moved.

I've used hard rubber for padding and for spacers.
