My recently purchased 2001 Newell has AC Delco 8d36 house batteries, which I think are engine starter batteries. They are about a year old but I am worried that they will be a problem since they are not deep-cycle batteries. Advice would be appreciated.

hi chester,
if they batteries are fine, i would just keep them until they go bad. batteries are not cheap nowadays. i replaced all of mine with lifeline agm's but the old ones were totally shot.
i am pm'ing you my cell phone. call and chat.

The previous owner on my rig did the same thing. They will carry the fridge through the night and the TV's, but they will not carry the Aquahot through a night.
I'm with Tom, use them until they croak, and then replace with AGM. Mine lasted about three years before they gave up.

Tom and Richard, thanks for the response. It only makes sense to keep them as long as the will work well.
