Can someone explain why there is not a controllable thermostat on motor home water heaters? The water gets hotter than one needs and thus seems like a waste of energy. Hope you all have a great day!

Good question, and maybe some newer models do have them - I don't know - probably a cost thing. There is an adjustable therm. kit you can install yourself. if you want to link let me know and I will post it.

The Raritan marine water heater is adjustable just like electric water heaters for the home.

In the case that your worried about wasting energy than you should install a thermostat which can be had for around $40.00.
