Thinking on options of a new king size round corner memory foam bed

I have recently read in a couple of other threads dicussions on bed replacements. I have been pricing rounded corner king size beds and they are super expensive. Has anyone had a square corner bed modified? Last night my wife came up with the idea of doing one ourselves.

The local foam mattress store uses an ordinary electric carving knife, said you just have to make sure you have a sharp blade.
