I have a laptop computer with itunes downloaded music that has very very weak speakers and can hardly be heard across the room, 6 feet, at full volume. I would like to set it up so that can stream throughout coach speakers in our newell and that I will be able to use wireless headphones if my better half is sleeping. I am willing to pay whatever is necessary to accomplish this. I would like to know is this setup is possible and what equipment I would need.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You might look at some of the Bose systems, compact and small speakers but pretty decent sound quality.

Solutions from least expensive:
1-If you usually use the computer in the same location, you could run stereo cables from the PC to the existing Newell receiver.
2-Try to find a Logitech Wireless System for PC. I think they are discontinued by Amazon still lists one source for them.
3-Replace the existing receiver in the coach with one that has networking capabilities. A few home theater receivers have built in wireless network capabilities, otherwise you would need to connect an Ethernet cable from the receiver to your router. That way you could use your computer as a media server.

GringoPhil,

What I would recommend is BlueTooth. If your laptop doesn't have it built in you'll need to buy an adapter. Do a Google shopping search for "laptop bluetooth adapter". They start at $1.00, but you'll get what you pay for. If your coach radio doesn't have built in BlueTooth, replace it with one that does. You can pick one up for under $100 that will enable hands free phone conversations too. Get a BlueTooth headphone, they start around $14, but you'll get what you pay for.

If you need additional help PM me.
