Making a95-04 look like an 06

Ok I am gonna try to do this.. A body man and me are going to move the Gerard's to the roof and fabricate the roof rail to mold in with the girards's and the front air deflector to give it a 07 look. We are also going to make the rear spoiler setup the 14's have.. Also change the headlights to the 14 style or the 07 style not sure which yet..ill send pics in next couple of months .. If it looks good we are going to sell a "kit" which all you do is cut the rail s to fit your awnings . Raised roof or not if will all mold in.. And be a simple, cut the rails we provide attach and paint .. I'm thinking its a 5000.00 kit... Opinions? Be able to totally update a coach for 5,000 plus paint?

Marc, I'm sure it would be a hit, why not. What kind of materials would your body guy use and what process?

It would be cool to have a kit for us older coaches to have a upgraded exterior look.

I'm thinking fiber glass.. That way everyone can cut what ever angles and lengths out of say a 22 foot molded piece to fit a raised roof or longer or shorter awning.. Also make sure the front pieces have lots of extra material so you can adjust to fit your coach.. I'm also considering aluminum but that may be harder to get a good fit with..we are meeting next week to get measurements .. Probly take a couple of weeks to get the molds right but once they are right it should be an easy install.. I just want them to be solid..and nice...really excited to get the rear spoiler mocked up.. And put an led brake light bar across it..:)

Ok I think I will have the new "false awnings" rear and front spoiler installed by the end of the month..thinking 07 headlights also..opinions please.. Should I move my existing girard up to the roof.. In place of part of the false awnings or should I keep it where it is and go false awnings on top the whole way?

If you look at the new Newell's it appears that there are 2 20 foot awnings in the rail along the top of the coach.. While some are actual awnings many times the rear one is a false awning.. It looks like one but doesn't actually work. Just keeps a smooth line across the top

I don't think it would look right if you didn't run it most of the length. One of the reasons they went with the roof valances was to hide the roof airs and other objects. It also gives the coach a taller appearance which to some is a more macho look.

A few years ago I was starting on a design for valances, front and rear caps for the classic Newell but quit on it after selling my Colorado home and going overseas to help out with humanitarian relief. Oh well, I'm glad someone is taking the bull by horns on the 2000 series. You have my support for what it's worth.

By chance if you are interested in any fiberglass mold equipment, mainly vacuum injection I have few items I could to sell. I offered it to Jon (MrE) who has aspirations to do the same but the timing doesn't fit at the moment for him. Just a few months ago I sold off a boat load of equipment to a company in Florida for a song.

Have you had any success with your "Kit" ? It sounds like a fantastic idea and should be very marketable.
