Hello Neweller's, The window channel in our coach is very deteriorated. I ordered a piece of channel from Vintage Trailer Supply Airstream Motorhome Window Channel (http://www.vintagetrailersupply.com/Airstream_Motorhome_Window_Channel_p/vts-278.htm) but it is too thick on the bottom and the window is impossible to slide. Does anyone know where we can find channel of the correct size? Thank you!!!!

Bob, I almost ordered the same weatherstrip channel, comes in 8' strips, my channel is 7/16 wide and 3/8 high. This would be good info to have as I need to order some also. I did order the olympic shavable rivets should see them in a few days.

Some of the auto felts are the same size and the Nu-Van windows. That is what I used in the past. I had a partial 100' roll left from the olden days that was still new.

An old sales rep of mine from the auto industry, has a client that manufacturers a lot of aftermarket moldings, rubbers and window channel for mostly Mercedes and he may stir me in the right direction.

I bought a 100' of channel felt with exactly the same issue, couldn't slide the window. I called Newell and they wanted $3.00 a foot for their molding. They gave me a part number for the molding, but I couldn't locate in on the Internet for a reasonable price. Posted on the forum with no responses.

Jon, I'm actually thinking we have posted the information in the past on here. I haven't done a thorough search to verify it yet. I got lucky on the stuff I had, I'm thinking it was either GM or Ford. I used to have a bunch of it but most went to auction a few years back while doing some house cleaning an d one roll turned up in a box I had but the label was gone so I'm making a wild guess at it. Was yours a thickness issue or height in the channel?

It was a height in the channel issue. I tried the C.R. LAURENCE 21116181951C CRL 7/16" x 3/8" Universal Channel in a 100 Foot Roll, but when I put everything all together I couldn't slide the windows.

Bob, are your windows Nu-Van or do they say something else? I have found out that 1963-66 Chrysler Valiant and Dodge Dart uses the same felt channel on the earliest Newell's. I'm sure there are several other years that must be the same, but at least this gives us a starting point for Bob's and we can now verify what other part numbers cross-over will work. We just need to compare what years of Newell's used what windows to narrow it down for others.

I found these 21116432061c 3/8x1/2, 15/32 at the bottom(mine are .480") for 1/4"glass mine are 3/16. These might work, I didnt find Jons part # on this site

Hi all, I'm out of town right now so I can't check who manufactured my windows. I don't remember seeing a name on the frames, only writing on the glass itself. Keith, where is the name of your windows located...on the glass or the frame somewhere? Thanks!
