Replacing halogen ceiling light bulbs

Is there is trick to replacing the 2 wire prong ceiling halogen light bulbs? I find it almost impossible to change these bulbs without removing the fixture. The two little wire prongs have to be just right or you can't get them into the socket which I can't seem to do without removing the fixture.
