I have what I think is the original built in original alarm clock and it recently quit working. It does not light up. Anyone have an idea what may have went wrong with it?

Why won't the aluminum siding on my Newell polish up. I want to make the non painted areas shiny so I went out and bought everything to polish the sides and it will not shine any different. Any ideas...
