Sorry for the late reply.
if the compressor is running on the fridge, then a high temp is caused by TOO much gas. Fridges are different than car or house AC systems, to get low temps requires low gas pressure. Don't quote me from memory, but mine likes about 6 psi with 134a, or about 10 psi with R12.
Other really odd thing may be that the defrost cycle is stuck on.
I assumed you have a household elec fridge.
