the blaupunkt powered sub puts out amazing amounts of bass for a small unit.
i have the focal 6x9's in the front and in the bedroom powered by a good clarion head unit that i put in too. awesome sound and i am glad it worked out good for richard as well.
they are not inexepensive, but they are very high quality.
another great brand for sound quality is Dynaudio. they also make incredible car stereo speakers but are equally hard to find as the Focal's. i have the home version of dynaudio in my home theatre at home and they are incredible.
i am not afraid to spend money for quality audio gear, but for my coach i bought cambridge soundworks satellite speakers and they were very inexpensive but awesome sounding.
