John it sounds like you guys had a great trip other than the inverter problem. Portland, Oregon is gorgeous during this time of year. In the manual it will tell you about the E over temp error and it will say to turn it off and let it cool down. So you made the right choice in turning it off. One of your boards are probably bad and will need to be replaced. For the low bat issue, if you know the batteries are good you can try resetting/reprogramming. Also check the wiring connection, you can even try removing the fuse for 30 seconds and re-install and see if the low bat disappears. Hope this helps.
