Imron requires not only respriator but eye and skin protection. I used a self-contained battery power positive power system from 3-M company. For paint go to a professional automotive or truck paint supply for automotive products. I painted a 3 color Imron job on my 71 using 3.5 Imron and a clear coat overcoat. Imron was the system used by Newell shop on all Newells from the start. Original was 5.0, new system is Low-vol 3.5. My 71 had white top a green mask and clear over the aluminum. New paint is white top purple mask & stripe with a blue bottom. Automotive paint is a special product. Paint work prep paint and finish required about 5 weeks. Big project.

Sherwin Williams paint is no match. I did try a bright red enamal on my 59 Ford flat bed about 3 years ago. It's faded and lost much color in the short time. They said it was a heavy duty enamel sutable for outside use. I know better but it was cheep. Got what I paid for. Happy to tell what I know about paint process 417-866-0261.
