There is a D2 valve or similiar on most air systems that shuts off the engine compressor at +/- 120 PSI. This device also activates the air dryer in many applications.

They are +/- $15.00 & on my Newell located by the air dryer.

Any truck shop will have them, & it's the first thing to replace given your indicated pressure
