You need to determine how much you plan on traveling (average miles/month) and how long you will stay in each RV Park. Most RV Parks have weekly rates and monthly rates. The weekly rates can save you 15-20% but the monthly rates can save you 50%. You will have to budget for unexpected RV repairs, routine maintenance, food (cooking in the RV is MUCH less expensive than eating out all the time), entertainment, utilities (propane if you use it and if you stay in parks on a monthly basis you will have to budget for electricity since that usually is extra), and telephone (cellular and data charges) Others costs will be similar to living in a sticks and brick house, insurance, taxes, health care (doctors, health insurance, prescriptions, etc), clothing, gifts, haircuts, vehicle registration fees, memberships, etc. You can full-time on a subsistence budget if you use BLM land or you can stay at first class resort and spend more money than most people spend on house payments.
