Actually when I dwell on the subject I must admit Newell screwed up on this previous school of thought prior to Karl Blade taking the helm.

One could still do a raised floor just in the bedroom area leaving a fairly large storage area(s) The humps in mine are 7" high. The only issue would be a step, but it would be a more noticable tripping hazard than a hump. and for those with that peskey turbo box it would be a better height for a bed etc.
