Tom,
Changing the air filter should not be a tough job. On the early series 60s coaches apparently it is much harder. I replaced mine working slowly & polishing the turbo pipes in just over an hour. Just remove the chrome horizontal pipe, loosen the top turbo pipe clamp, loosen both clamps on the air inlet pipe and work it to the right about 6"-8". Now loosen the two air filter clamps and you can remove it by working it out down & toward the center of the engine. Goes back together in reverse. Plenty of room to work with the engine cover up.
