Sorry about the run on thoughts. The purpose of carrying a container of ATF is to ensure that you have clean fuel to prefill the filter.

ATF in general is supposedly a good injector cleaner because of it's high surfactant content.

I did not intend to mean that prefilling the filter was done to clean the injectors.
