The mattress in our Newell is one of the things we like most about it. Newell makes their own mattresses that are custom fit for your particular coach. They are 5" or 6" rubber foam and are very comfortable. The foot of the mattress is curved to facilitate walking around it and this cut corner is very important in a coach that has a rear slideroom.

If I were you I would contact Newell service and price a new mattress that is custom cut for your Newell. We love ours and it is 14 years old. It is still firm and gives great support. Just one more example of Newell quality.
