Hey 2Strokediesel: I'm curious why you want to replace the whole thing especially if the metal parts are in good shape.

I've had my window awnings off for cleaning and some sewing of seams and I was able to do that by myself but I reckon two or three people could take down and put up a patio awning as mentioned above.

There is nothing complicated about working on these things except for the unwinding and winding of the roll-up spring, I lost some skin when I lost control of the arm while doing that, but I didn't break anything and if I don't leave a little blood behind no one will know I was there.
