While mulling around the Newell factory, I have noticed the mass of wires and wiring harnesses that have been installed on older Newells. This Spyder system is a major innovation: it will save weight and installation time which will (should) reduce cost not to mention maintenance. As I understand it, any additional accessories that are added to the coach after production (like a TV outside) could be placed virtually anywhere.
The backup multiplex master wire is an example of Newell's committment to simplicity.
