Default Glass dash/ glass cockpit

I definitely prefer the glass dash. Having made two cross country trips with a glass dash equipped coach, I'm a believer. The glass dash provides more information in just about any format you want, and is easier to install and easier to repair then a set of individual gauges.

The glass dash can also display in analog or digital format depending upon your likes. Another advantage to the glass dash is immediate notification of an anomaly. The programmer sets the parameters for each and every sensor, and if a problem occurs, the issue pops up center stage on your display in a preset background color e.g. blue is providing useful info, while yellow is caution, and red needs your immediate attention. The need to cross-scan your instruments is practically eliminated because the glass dash is performing the sensor scans in milli-seconds.

Military and civil aviation has adopted the 'glass cockpit' with excellent success and it is now the standard in new aircraft.

As you view this e-mail you are probably looking at a screen that is essentially a 'glass dash' minus the high intensity lighting.
