My Newell has a 12 bag system with large heavy duty air tanks mounted between the frame. These tanks are connected directly to the air bags with large diameter airlines. When you hit a bump, the tanks absorb some of the increased air pressure from the air bags, thus smoothing the ride. I have yet to ride in a motorcoach with a smoother ride than a Newell.
