I've had both, I like the day/night shades best because they are quieter on the road and give the option of see-thru window coverings or privacy, I originally had just regular blinds but those things rattled and swung back and forth and were just a plain headache, if you go with day/night shades be sure to go with good ones, good ones will last a long, long time, cheap ones you won't like and you'll be replacing and restringing them until you curse them lol, good ones will be trouble free almost forever, thats what I've found anyway.
