Short answer is yes we are OK.

The longer answer is we were without power for days. And yes we abandoned ship and stayed in the coach in a no frills RV park that is hard by my workplace. As Tom stated, it took some doing to break the Newell routine and head to the office.

We were sitting in a glass front restaraunt when the wind front hit on Friday night. It was incredible to watch. Needless to say we didn't get dinner because the place went dark. WV was decimated by wind damage. The weather jockies dubbed in an inland hurricane, but the damage is very localized, and many of the down trees have a torqued look to them. Imagine if you will a million mini tornadoes. As we made our way home with some trepidation, I was greeted at the entrance of the street by new pickup that looked like something out of a cartoon. A large tree centered it, and smashed the cab to six inches tall. Both ends were sticking up in the air intact. Fortuneately our home was untouched. As Tom said I brought the mini coach to the house to run the refrigerators, and we headed for the Newell. We were lucky to have refuge. Many heated moments happened as folks exhibited mob behavior over gas and ice. We still have many people without power and the temps are over 100 again. This region just does not get that hot.

Sorry for my late reply, I've been a wee bit busy.

Thanks for worrying about us.
