It's not dumb at all. I am not familiar with your charger setup, but in essence when you start shutting down AC circuits in the coach, you want to make sure that you keep power to the AC circuit that powers the battery charger.

On the earlier coaches, I think that the battery charger was actually plugged into a circuit. If you still have that setup then, you could simply measure the voltage at the plug as you shut down circuits. However, if someone has updated the coach to an inverter/charger combo, then you would need to measure the AC voltage going into the unit.

In a simpler way of looking at it, you cannot totally kill the power to the coach and maintain the battery charging. You can kill individual circuits, but you have to do it selectively. Your panel may have labeling indicating which breaker feeds the charger. If so, leave that one on.
