Actually we have had very few issues with our Microphor and it is 20 years old this fall. We've replaced the flapper ring only once burt have cleaned it many times. This particular problem of the hopper gasket leaking is a very small leak that was probably caused by drying out (in down times) too many times (just my theory) It seems like the leak decreases in size as we continue to use the toilet and even reseals itself over time as the gasket expands with the constant use, but has become unacceptable. I hope to get it repaired soon.
