AGM Battery Storage Q's & A's
After having a lengthy discussion with my neighbor about AGM batteries I figured it's best to post this question and get direct answers from AGM battery owners.
The common wisdom seems to be that AGMs do not stratify due to the starved electrolyte design. According to my neighbor there is some indication that large, tall AGMs do over time.
If that was the case Is there anything that should be done to avoid this for batteries that sometimes sit stationary for months at a time, or no need? For example is there any benefit to mounting sideways, and then flipping 180 degrees to the other side when terminal cleaning and maintenance is performed periodically?
