Default engine won't turn over

Just experienced the same problem. Luckily, in the driveway at home. It took 3 weeks to get a mobile rv repairman on site. Determined it to be a frozen starter. He removed the first bolt, loosened the second and the third would not budge. Had been in place for 20 years. He was strong enough to bend the end of a Craftsman wrench trying to remove it. Put an air gun on it and that was no help. Literally broke a 2nd wrench in half. After 4 hours he gave up and called a mobile diesel repairman. This guy showed up same day and spent 2.5 more hours using 2 air guns to no avail. Finally drilled the back end of the bolt out about 1". He then put a blow torch on it, let it cool a little and was able to move it 1/4 turn. By continuing the blow torch method he finally broke it loose and removed it. It took 2.5 hours to put the new starter on. It weighed about 50-60 pds. He had to lay on his back, hold it up with one hand, aligned it and then put the bolts in by himself.

I do not recommend you try this yourself!
