Assuming that your Newell is a 2000 model (most of the 1990's were), the rear lights were sealed beam units. There are replacement units that can be purchased from Newell Parts that have replaceable bulbs. I replaced the backup lights on mine since they had become very milky. The new ones are clear and brighter. I have not tried to find LED bulbs for the replacement lenses but I checked and did not find any direct replacement LED light units.
