Jeff, the LED LCD TVs use much less power than a plasma. I believe that they are also substantially less weight. I bought one for my bedroom that's 12v DC, built in DVD player and weighs less than 10 pounds. http://www.luxurycoachlifestyle.com/...ld-crt-tv.html

LED has a nice bright screen and uses a lot less power than a plasma. Nice TV upgrade pictures Jon!

Go with LED because some plasma tvs don't do well at high altitudes.

Here's information about each. LCD (LED backlit) panels have square pixels, use less power and don't burn in. Plasma has a better picture hands down but its picture fades after a few years. And unless you are an AV master and look at screens all day good chance you won't be able to tell the difference between the pure blacks of plasma vs the washed out blacks of an LCD panel. If you upgrade TVs every year, only watch 1080p or higher resolution movies/TV and money is no object then get a plasma.

Thanks John, just like any thing else dealing with technology the price is coming down! I was able to get an exact match on my laminate at Home Depot, use the WilsonArt samples.

Started with a plasma only lasted 4 years. Then LCD its still ok. Now led and the picture is much more crisp.

The cool thing about throwing out those bulky TV's is the space you gain. Now Jon has a now available convenient little shelf space and the flat screens are much easier to adjust.

I said it before and I still stand by it- pick what looks cleaner to your eye. They have different options because everyone has different needs.
