Default Need new water pump water is back flowing into tank

Need help-- I think the old water pump for our coach's water system finally died today. It is letting water flow back into the water tank and then running over.

Help is greatly appreciated,

Paul

Did you double check the fuse and connections? If it is truly toast, then just replace it. Those are a cheap investment. If it's that old it is probably time.

I have had the best luck with Shurflo water pumps. They are like what they always stated about a Timex, they just keep ticking or the Evergizer battery, just keep going

and going.

On our '82 I have a ball valve that keeps the water from going into the water pump from the wrong direction. I am not sure what year you have but there could be a check valve that would do this. If so the check valve could be bad. If you have a Shurflo pump there are rebuild kits available.

Do you mean it flows back enough water to overfill your fresh water tank?
