Default Hi, Bonjour, Buenos Dias, Salam Aleikum

My name is Jo and I joined some time ago but haven't been able to post anything till now. I currently own 3 standard houses, one in Morocco, one in Argentina and one in France and would like to become a full time nomad !!! I will eventually go for a Newell . In the meantime, i have a lot to learn about these coaches, particularly 83/84 models for the super classic look or 95/96 for the comfort.

Welcome,

Some of us are nomads, and some are going mad. And then, like me, some are long gone mad.

Just hoping that my Newell won't be my New Hell. Brand reputation is an asset but maintenance is essential and I'll need your advice along the way.

Thanks for your kind message

As i have been planning my new nomad status for a while I had to make decisions. My house in France is a Family house that cannot be traded in. In Argentina, i turned the house in Buenos Aires into a small hotel! and if i may say so do not ever trade a Newell for anything in Argentina....Morocco why not !!! The kingdom is a wonderful country.
Best regards
Jo

Many classic Newells in this era (late 70's to '90) have mostly Detroit Diesels, and if your rig was 38',or less with no tag axle, it was probably a 6V92. I know, however, Tom's 1990 is under 40' and has an 8V92 (no tag). There are a few that came with Cummins, but I believe that was a special order from buyer.

I agree "sweet madness" that describes me in more ways than just my Newell! We love our Coach and it is home to us for 1/2 of the year. Sorry voyagelatino but I will have to help you find one (and I am willing, we will just stay in one of your "villas" in exchange) similar because ours is not for sale.

Jo, it sounds like you are on the right track. You should find all the info you need right here. Some great folks around here. Welcome aboard and hope the search ends in more happiness.

Steve, you are getting great mileage. I have gotten 8.7 with the 6V92T, but then again I keep my foot in it. Do you know your gearing?

Not sure about the gearing. My mileage was not as good before I repaired the Cruise Control. I set the speed at 59 miles/hour and just kick back.
