Tripping Circuit Breaker
1991 Newell, circuit breaker trips. On this circuit is the Dinette plug & lamp, 3 plugs on left side forward of the small table, plug on right side of the dog house & the air compressor in the right forward compartment that also contains the blower for the generator. I replaced the circuit breaker to no avail. Checked all the plugs & all the wire are tight. The switch is off for the compressor so it should be out of the circuit. Nothing is connected to this circuit, so the problem must be in the wiring somewhere? Does anyone know how this wire is run? Comming out of the main panel the wire goes up into the insulation & I can't tell from there. Any idea's; or is there something else on this circuit I am missing?

hi,
as far as what else is on the breaker, the answer is who knows....everyone is slightly different.
before i tore into wiring, i would absolutely take everything out of the circuit. the blower and the compressor. to be sure.
for where it goes, when i had all my insides out of my coach, the romex wire went basically two places. it either went up in the wire chase on the top right and left of the coach or went down through the floor and ran along the top of the bottom bays. there may be more somewhere too.
i would check for shorts by disconnecting at the breaker and use a meter.
just eliminate one thing at a time. you will find it.
have fun.

Tom
I traced it forward to a junction above the dinette. I removed the wire that continued forward & that stopped the tripping, but still no power forward of that. I've been working on the inverter installation, so that took up my time. Will post photo's of the inverter install & TV install which are both about 90% complete. Will post on the tripping when I finally find it. Thanks for the interest.

Finally found the problem.
The wire(romex) goes forward from the dinette area. Directly above the drivers seat, behind the cove cover there is a junction. For what ever reason, there are 3 outlets in the wall rear of the drivers seat, behind the chair. The junction above the drivers seat connects the romex from the dinette area to the 3 seperate romex wires to the outlets & an extension cord type wire that goes forward to the doghouse plug & air compressor. The black wire going to one of the plugs is connected somewhere to the netrual causing the circuit to trip.
Thaks to Toms advise I was able to remove all the covers. I also installed new coax, per Toms advise.

P.S. I've tried to post some pictures, but have had no luck. The TV & Inverter are also done.
