Default Removing road grime from coach & toad

We have road tar/grime on coach and car and wondered if anyone out there knows a good way to remove it. We are using WD 40 on the wheels now. Don't want to ruin the paint! Any ideas gladly accepted!

Thanks,

Cheri

I use the non-abrasive hand cleaner that most auto parts stores carry. With lanolin (I think). Works quite well for me.

I also use it as a pre-wash treatment when I get grease or other stains on clothing.

If it is tar then kerosene will dissolve it and will not dissolve the paint.
