Cool I goofed up!

I have damaged the awning once it unfurled while traveling down the road then we heard this flapping against the coach. I was able to get pulled over before it did any damage to the side.

Tell me your goofs if you have any.

Filling up the fresh water tank... I left the hose with the water on got side tracked walked away. When I came back it was overflowing and the ground was flooded!

Worth telling again:
This is a true story!
Ron and I , both owning 96 newells have been traveling south florida for a few weeks together. Often exchanging ideas and comments of each others ride. With a short ride from Riverbend Resort to Signature Resort we traded coaches. Ron was about a mile or so ahead me on I75 going about 65-70mph when he phoned. The conversation was about how each handled and felt..... Ron said I had left my merge switch on. Again we both own 96 models but my coach has the 97 version dash, which is totally different....My reply was turn it off.......

anyone guess where this is going?

He hit the curb side DUMP!!!

Cars between he and I were scattering in all directions!!

This is very funny now! But a pretty wild sight at the time.....
Good thing Connie was driving our tow and had left an hour ahead of us....

Got DNA?

Just another great day on the road.....

This happened to me in 1973 in college:
I invited a pretty girl to go camping in the mountains, much to her dismay she accepted. I rented a 20'Winnebago Brave and off we went into the night. Got up in AR and looked at the gauge for the poo poo tank and saw it was full, not cool. I pulled down a lonely, dark road, put her in park. Got a flashlight and looked for the pipe with the cap and valve. We had camped all my life, starting in Army surplus tents with mosquto nets and army cots, then a pop up, so this was high cotton. I was standing in a ditch and the pipe was about chest high. I pulled the valve open and let er rip! The product shot out like a water cannon and all I could do was cover my face and mouth best I could. It covered me head to toe. I barfed my way around to the entry door looking deranged. "Ol girl took one look and said "Throw those clothes away and put this towel around you." I did as I was told and showered up, put on some foo foo powder, and the trip was all down hill from there!

I've got another.
Back in the good 'ol days (84), my buddy, MB, talked me into coming to Breaux Bridge to the Crawfish Festival. I had my first GMC mtr home. He knew an older lady that lived on Main Street that said we could park in her driveway and plug up. Her fuse box was so old it had the glass fuses. ( We ran the generator). We were flirting with all the lady folks and told them all if they needed to potty to come aboard. They did. The black tank filled way too fast and became odiferous. MB says " I'll stop the crowd and we'll run outside town and dump." We are talking a hundred thousand people. We roll and he says take a left on a country road then another left on a trail it looked like to me. We ended up adjacent to an old grave yard. I was gettin' nervous because I realized we were going to have to back out. Being the rocket scientist's that we were, we dumped the gump. Remember, a GMC is front wheel drive. We had to back over "our stuff!" We got stuck, I'm like we are going to jail!. I put it in reverse and we both got out and pushed. It started to move slowly so I jumped back in. MB wore a lot of bling back then, and had on white tennis shorts, shirt, and shoes. He kept pushing and I gave it a little throttle. Oh Lord, it was like a slow motion movie, as the tires started to throw the goo out the front he turned to run and it started at his ankles and went up his back to his hair. After some serious upchucking, he threw his tainted clothes in the bushes, showered and we were back for the festivities no worse for the wear! The moral of the story is get a Newell with a huge black water tank!

This had me laughing out loud the better half had to come over to see what was so funny. Amy cracked up too! All these stories were great, we should have more laughter in our life!

This would be the better half and I...Note: with the roles reversed and it only happened once...
