Default Engine Hours and Mileage

Has anyone done a check between engine hours and mileage?

On our Newell I have 137K miles, with 5200 hours, which would mean many miles on this coach. What do you other guys have?

Archie

These are fascinating numbers if they both apply to the drive engine. It means that the coach averaged about 26 miler per hour of the engine running. I have no clue what the numbers are for mine but I would expect the number to be close to 36 to 40 miles per hour of engine time. If both numbers are accurate then the engine has experienced a lot of idling. If the actual average on the road was 40 mph then it idled for 1600 hours - I can't imagine why someone would do that. If someone rewound the odometer then the engine hours at 40mph average would suggest the engine has over 200,000 on it. Given the durability of the S-60 engine I have no clue why someone would run that scam. I'm really curious what others have found.

Yep just multiply mph X your hours, it will be close.

Sounds like you averaged 26MPH x 5200 hours = 135,200 Miles.
