All,

There are actually two Bendix recalls presently underway, and letters to all affected coach owners were mailed last month.

The recall for the Parker/Bendix check valve affects coaches 703 - 1244 while the SR-7 rubber modulating valves affects only coaches 796 through 1244.

Newell has the replacement parts in stock and the repair should take less then 30 minutes. The service brakes are not affected, but vehicle roll away is possible after setting the park brake, if either of the check valves should fail.

If you have any questions, please call me at 888-3NEWELL or 918 542 5582 ext 270

John Clark

Thanks for the additional information John. All companies have recalls and as usual, Newell seems to be out in front in handling the situation promptly and with parts available quickly.

One of the advantages of this type forum is the exchange of information that makes our coaches easier to maintain and operate and more pleasurable in which to tour. Having company representatives that provide trustworthy information is an feature that sets this site apart from other websites.
