Default Newell Factory Tour Pics

I came across a good set of pictures taken at the Newell Factory in late 2008.

http://www.chillaxnet.com/gallery2/m...8_004.jpg.html

Great shots of the bare semi-monocoque frame. One picture shows a scheduling board with tasks that need to be completed within a work time range (0-10 hours, 10-20) etc. The factory looks immaculate, I wish my workshop was as tidy.

That is a great link! Thank you for posting it.....I'll be visiting there next week on our way to Texas for the mini-rally and it's nice to know what to expect!

Great find! Glad you posted it.

We have been wanting to go through the factory and do a professional video shoot one of these days. It would have been nice to have done with the start of our trip in a Newell and heading down to that rally in Texas. But, probably not this round.

A lot of mouth watering pics! LOL Just shows some of the GREAT quality details that go into making a Newell. I am really impressed with the way they design there slide motor units. I can remember all the fun stories I've heard from owners of other brand motorhomes failing in that area etc.

For those who have not watched a Newell slide operate, it is a joy!! The flat floor mechanism is great. Newell switched from HWH hydraulic slides to Valid electric slides in 2003. The roller bearing system, the disappearing floor section and the inflatable bladder to seal around the slide are amazing.
