Hey Tom:

Michael sent to me a Grohe manual. I took mine apart and it looks like there is an O ring that should be the sealer. Mine leaks as well, I just haven't determined what size O ring that I should buy. I looked at the O rings at the hardware store and they have a bunch of different sizes and dimensions. Hopefully, it is as simple as that, as they are about a $1.

Good luck I'll dig that email up from Michael if you need me too. No worries.

Hey Tom, did you ever figure out how to fix your kitchen faucet? Mine is leaking also. I'd appreciate any info you have on what part to replace. Thanks

Hey Forest: My sink would leak until it got moist and then sealed itself up, usually a couple of days. In the meantime I kept a sponge under it. Seemed an easy way to resolve the problem.

Have a good 4th.

If you know the brand of the faucet you should be able to get a rebuild kit of "O" rings to stop the dripping or uncontrolable running at any plumbing supply store.

Tom, sorry I am late to the party. I have a manual posted on my website here: http://www.newellowner.com/images/Grohe%20America%20Kitchen%20Water%20Faucet%20for%2 0Newell%2033%20790.pdf

or http://tinyurl.com/2askj4p

Hopefully it is the correct manual for our faucets. I have not ordered any parts for my so far.

Thanks Michael. It looks like it may be the o-ring that's leaking since I get water out of the handle. I'll hunt for one, may even pull the cartridge and lube it. This is the kind of info that would be great to have in a doc's area on the forum, but I really appreciate you making it available.

I just finished repairing the faucet. Thanks Michael and Tom for the info. I pulled the cartridge, it was kinda hard to pull so I gently tapped it out using the flats on a small crescent. Cleaned with vinegar, lubed, especially the o-rings with silicone, put back together and presto- no leaks!

OK so let me start with saying that putting off a leak and letting someone else deal with it is not what I believe this forum is about and I am sure that the new owner of that Coach would agree a sponge is not a proper repair. We have the best made Coaches and lets make sure that we keep them operating as designed.
The Washer-Less Faucets use O-Rings instead of the Rubber Washers that were previously used. I took my Cartridge out of the Faucet and went to the local Hardware Store. Since Newell used quality Faucets, the parts were readily available. I made sure that I got the Cartridge (New Plastic Housing with O-Rings) instead of just the O-Rings. While the O-Rings may have been sufficient I wanted to make sure that I did not need a sponge in the future.
I needed a Hex Key (Allen Wrench) to remove the Faucet Handle. Then I was able to unscrew the Nut below the Handle and above the Plastic Housing for the O-Ring Seals. I would suggest that you get some help from someone who is knowledgeable (Home Depot and Lowes hires retired contractors).
Good Luck, Steve
