Default engine batteries before and after

i am at it again. the engine batteries were toast and i took them out and spent some time getting the entire compartment clean and shined up. i had new battery cables made and cleaned all the other terminals.

polished the plastic cover and put it all back together tonite.

the chrome looks better than in the pictures. it was dark and the camera flash did a lot of reflections.

hope it all works ok now.

later

That's a grate looking battery compartment Tom! What did you use to polish the plastic cover? Mine is full of scratches and I would be pleased to have it look half as good as yours.

i have polished alot of plastic. what i use is a product called novus. it comes in 3 stages. novus 3 for deep scratches, then you move to novus 2 for medium and then finish off with novus 1. i have a bunch of pinball machines and used it to polish the plastics on them.

mine still has some scratches, but overall came out pretty good.

it is like rubbing compound for cars only for plastic.

My wife thinks I should be putting up Christmas decorations instead of looking at a beautiful battery compartment. Can you believe that? Thanks for the info on the product you use for the scratches. I also have a pin ball machine, poker video slot and juke box in my game room, but they are all glass. Can you use it on glass also? (Oh oh, gotta go, she caught me and I need to get the decorations out, but I'll be checking back soon)

i use the novus on the pinball parts under the glass. when i "shop" them.

it is a just a plastic polish.

i carried 20 cases of christmas decorations down along with my daughter but darlene and her did the decorating. i will post my christmas light expedition when i have time for all of you to laugh at me.

Is there any better sense of satisfaction than a striking "before" and "after" shot? I'd stare at that battery compartment all day long...admiring the way the sun reflects on it thoughout the day. Great job!
