Power Seat Bases
In the process of replacing the Captians chairs. The 6 way power bases are a little tired.. Like me.. I still move but, real slow...
Any good leads for purchase of new ones?
Regards.. Jimmy

Unless the lead screws are worn out, you might take a look at the brushes in the DC motors.
Also make sure you have a good 12V or better to them. Hate for you to put new ones in only to discover a different problem.

Thanks Richard..
I have the power bases on the bench with a good power supply. I just think that they have reached their useful life.. The drive cable housings are shattered, and the transmissions are binding.. Not sure if these are the original 74' but could be.. As I have it down this far much easer to replace than try to repair..

Jimmy,
My bad, I should have know that you would have already checked it out.
I suspect for some reason that they are Ford products.
Here is a place that sells them but holy cow the price is ridiculous.
http://www.discountvantruck.com/rvse...powerbases.htm
Other retailers seemed to want about 325 or more
And there is always the ePlace http://motors.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_...wer+seat+track
