Default Fuel Tank

The main fuel tank measures out to 240 gallons. Any idea of how much of that is usable or how far off the bottom the pickup tube is (can recompute usable from this). I know it is over 180 gallons because I put that much in once.

Gary,
I have a 1999 45' w/262 gallon diesel tank. My red low fuel light comes on when I have used 180 gallons. I have 82 gallons left in the tank. On one trip the engine started sputtering when I would make a left turn and accelerate. After I filled up with 189 gallons it ran fine. Newell service told me that my suction tube my be mounted a little too high. It seems to me that 73 gallons of unuseable fuel is a little too much. Next time I'm in for service lowering the fuel suction line deeper into the tank is on the list.

Good Luck.
