Exclamation Texas to open fastest US highway with 85 mph limit

Texas to open fastest US highway with 85 mph limit - Yahoo! Autos

"A tire blowout (at 85 mph) could be a big hazard," Marcy said.

I agree this could be a dangerous idea.

What do you think?

It's only one highway and from the sounds of it they stated that it will be a toll road. So if you want to open it up and do a little peddle to the medal then you'll want to hit this highway but you will pay a fee first. One could say it would be better than paying a speeding ticket for speeding on a highway with a lower speed limit. Because Randy that would be speeding illegally! Wouldn't you agree?

How about a teenage girl texting!

Or putting on make-up! Or texting while putting on make-up!

Or an ole fart like me shaving with an electric razor!

I have seen it all. Girl painting her toe nails in traffic, foot up on the steering wheel! A guy eating chinese food with chopsticks right out of the to-go box! and many many times I have seen women putting on make-up while driving, men and women of all ages talking on the phone and texting. I think the craziest thing I have seen is a woman reading a chapter book while driving!! I thought that was why we have audio books?

Adrian,

I believe you! I have seen drivers do some amazing things on I-10 in Houston during rush hour. I guess they just get frustrated. They need to learn to slow down a little, well maybe a lot! 85 seems a little steep to me!

SR,

I'll bet some Texas state police could tell us some tales! Your example takes first prize, unbelieveable!!!
