Hi Maxx Repp....we are new to the forum but I saw your "advise on new toilet"....we replaced ours, but replaced it with a RF toilet...so no help from us on that....I did read that you said you got Great advise on replacing the sliding windows in your 1980 newell class...that is the same year as ours and I am looking to replace our windows also...would you mind sharing the advice you received as I am having no luck out here near San Diego. Also, I was wondering if you have a 1980 coach manual??? I'm not having good luck in finding anything anywhere on that. Thanks so much for any help you can share.
Cindy

hope this helps
Hi Cindy ... first of all old school rules just love my 1980 Newell ... a bit harder to keep up but they are great ... as far as windows there are a couple of options if you want to replace the whole window or windows there is a place called Peninsula in Vancouver Washington that gets good reviews they will replace with single or double pane glass ... little spendy ... google Peninsula Window check out thier site ... also you can look in the section upgrade your newell in the forum on this site look for Classic window upgrade options ... I just replaced the slider on my front window they were cracked poped out the slider from the channel little hard to do take your time glass is tricky had a glass company cut a new slider poped it back in ... hope this helps oh and by the way what is a RF toilet maybe I will try that Thanks oh so much PS still looking for a manual myself

Hi Max.....we have a 1982 Newell and had to replace our toilet last year. We got the Dometic 310 for $149 at Campingworld. Here is a picture. It has a ceramic bowl, and is easy to install. We love ours! Steve Ward (Prarieschooner - also 1982 Newell) also got one of these.....in fact he got his before we did, and we just followed his lead.

Here is a link to a previous discussion about our new Toilet. So far still a great decision DOMETIC 310 and they are not pricey.
